Welcome to the Muses Website!
We are team #362 of the FIRST Robotics organization, and have been participating since the 2000 competition season (5 years)
and have seen three senior classes graduate from our team. We are located in Los Angeles, California.
"The FIRST Robotics Competition is an exciting, multinational competition that teams professionals and young people to solve an engineering design problem in an intense and competitive way. The program is a life-changing, career-molding experience—and a lot of fun. In 2004 the competition will reach more than 20,000 students on over 900 teams in 27 competitions. Our teams come from Canada, Brazil, Great Britain, and almost every U.S. state. The competitions are high-tech spectator sporting events, the result of lots of focused brainstorming, real-world teamwork, dedicated mentoring, project timelines, and deadlines." FIRST encourages high school students to be creative in
building our robots. The engineers who are our mentor's help us build what
we have designed. They don't do our work for us, but instead demonstrate
and then let us do it so that we learn too. Our team is a unique
partnership between students, engineers and mentors. As our team grows older and
more knowledgeable so do the students on it, we currently have sophomore who has
become one of the leaders on the electrical team.
